I need a script writer used to writing for TV

I am looking for an experienced TV script writer that is available on Monday 2nd November – Thursday 5th November. We are organising an online virtual global event called Its Time – a festival of climate action. The event is largely pre-recorded with a mixture of content from panel discussions, talks, workshops, videos and runs across 5 different stages: Main Stage, Innovation Stage, Kids Tent, Sustainable Living Stage and Arts and Community Tent. We have a male and female host that will be filmed on the event days (17th and 18th November) and the event runs for 5 hours on both days. This will be a prestigious, high-profile event with several VIP speakers and contributors confirmed. It will unite over 100 global contributors in the fight against climate change, including activists, artists, academics, brands and celebrities and is in collaboration with WWF. Conceived by Ecologi co-founder Elliot Coad and former MP and chairman of Ecologi’s advisory board, Nick Boles, in reaction to the postponement of November’s United Nations Climate Conference, the festival will provide a freely
accessible platform to educate and inspire people around the world to take action now. Festival-goers will be able to tune in to live debates, video premieres, art exhibits, panel discussions, live
performances, and more by environmentalists, TV personalities, scientists, entrepreneurs, politicians and performers who are all striving for change in environmental responsibility.
The line-up has been carefully curated to offer a myriad of experiences and perspectives, with something for every age group and demographic. Notable speakers will range from Climate Strange comedian Matt Winning, TV presenter
and children’s author Konnie Huq, to criminal barrister and TV personality Rob Rinder. The majority of those 5 hours is filled up with panel discussions, talks and videos but we need a script writer to fill in any gaps within the schedule for the hosts to comment on video content, panel discussions and talks and to guide viewers around the various stages in a light hearted manner, with a positive tone and energy and enthusiasm. It is vital that the applicant is able to meet with the Event Manager and Researcher on Monday 2nd November in person in London, Covent Garden to discuss the schedule and content and where they would like to see the script intwined within it – all planning will be on this day. Then we need the script by close of play 5th November. An interest in climate action and climate solutions would be an advantage. Many thanks, Colette
